Congratulations to our very own Adrianne Hillman & Erin Garner-Ford for receiving the 2026 James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award for building community-focused housing to restore stability and belonging.

We are so proud of our leaders and the vision they carry every day — a vision that has helped shape Salt + Light into what it is today. Their leadership, innovation, and unwavering commitment to community are what made this recognition possible. Because of their courage to lead differently and their dedication to restoring dignity and belonging, Salt + Light was honored to be a recipient of this prestigious award.

Thank you for inspiring progress and possibility throughout California!✨

Our mission

Salt + Light transforms the lives of our Central California neighbors at risk of or experiencing homelessness by fostering community and belonging. We offer dignified housing, essential case management services, purposeful work opportunities, and outreach programs rooted in dignity and radical hospitality.

What We Do

We transform the lives of our Central California neighbors at risk of or experiencing homelessness by fostering community and belonging. We offer dignified housing, case management services, work opportunities, and outreach programs rooted in dignity and radical hospitality.

The Neighborhood Village

We built California’s first ever master-planned permanent supportive community with those experiencing chronic homelessness in Tulare County. We also have a mobile relief outreach for our neighbors still living unhoused.

Get Involved

Ready to jump in and make a difference? There are multiple ways to get involved with our work. Whether it’s volunteering or donating financially—every effort helps us love our neighbors in a radical way.

There are so many ways YOU can get involved and help bring HOPE to our community
