Carmen Ibarra | Office Coordinator
Meet Carmen Ibarra, Salt + Light’s Office Coordinator! She is originally from Mexico but now calls Visalia home. With no children or pets, Carmen's focus is on her career and community involvement. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and is certified as an Interpreter and a Victim Crisis Counselor, specializing in domestic violence and sexual assault cases.
At Salt + Light, Carmen serves as the Office Coordinator, where she warmly welcomes everyone and connects them with the organization's programs and services. Additionally, she oversees the office's day-to-day operations.
Before joining Salt + Light, Carmen gained diverse experience, starting as an insurance agent and later working as a Migrant Tutor during her college years. She also served as a Community Organizer with ACT for Women and Girls and as an Outreach Coordinator with Family Services for over six years. Carmen says “S+L aligns with my values and provides me with a great opportunity for personal and professional development growth. I love how welcoming everyone is.”
