Rachel Trigueiro | Director of Development
Rachel Trigueiro, Salt + Light’s Director of Development, was born and raised in Visalia in a strong and loving community. With a thirst for seeing the world outside of the Central Valley and an adventurous spirit, Rachel spent time living on the East Coast, and once married, in England, China, and Seattle with her husband James. The couple stays busy adventuring and raising their four incredible kids!
With a Bachelor of Science in Business Organizational Innovation, Rachel has a love for creating and marketing projects. Prior to Salt + Light, she spent her time as a busy stay-at-home mom, building small and successful side-hustles, while homeschooling her kids. More recently, she was a freelance writer for local publications and continues using her love for words at Salt + Light overseeing communications, donor relations, social media, and connecting with community partners.
Rachel is passionate about seeing people come alive. She says, “To love people the way Jesus truly loved others no matter the life they’ve lived, is the greatest gift. All people should feel like they belong. There’s no other place I’d rather be than here at Salt + Light, shining a light so everyone feels loved. This work has absolutely changed my life and our kids’ lives.”
In her free time, she loves to read, cook, and play in the garden, but most of all, she loves spending it with her family, especially if it’s on a beach!
Fun fact: In high school, Rachel called Disneyland’s Customer Relations Director and asked to borrow Belle’s dress for prom. Surprisingly, he said no and she received an autographed 8x10 photo of Belle instead. Rachel insists they should’ve let her borrow it. :)
