Illuminating the Way: Salt + Light Community Forum

Forum panelists from left: Dr. Natalie Bolin, Leann Lo, and Adrianne Hillman.

On February 27th, we hosted our very first Salt + Light community forum at Cafe 210 in Visalia, and it was truly a special evening. We came together to discuss the unique aspects of Salt + Light and how we approach things differently here in Tulare County. We shared why our methods are effective and lasting, and were delighted to share this insight with the community.

S+L Community Forum at 210 Cafe in Visalia, CA

Cultivating community means a lot to us at Salt + Light, and we were deeply grateful to see community members come out to listen, ask questions, and engage with us. Their presence means the world to our team!

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Salt + Light Board Chair, Anita Ortiz for facilitating the forum, and to our panelists, Dr. Natalie Bolin, Adrianne Hillman, and Leann Lo for their contributions. They eloquently explained our approach to addressing homelessness in Tulare County and keeping the community informed about our ongoing and future initiatives.

"What I love about Salt + Light and why I think it's important for community forums like this, is to help people understand the complexity of the issue of homelessness so that they understand what is really happening in our community and so they can make educated choices and learn how to be involved and support those who are doing the work to help our neighbors living on the streets to get into a better place.”  - Visalia Police Chief and Salt + Light Board member Jason Salazar
